Fear of failure or the unknown can cause you to stand still, stay complacent and stop growing.  If you’ve come in contact with me over the last few weeks, you may have heard the phrase “Paralysis by Analysis”—our ability to over-think a situation to the point that it prevents us from making a move.  I’ve suffered from both at various times in my life, I think most of us have.  I see kids and parents everyday battling the same beast unbeknownst to them.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t do your homework–thoroughly.  You should.  What I’m saying is, it gets to a point where you have to make a choice, a decision, a move and you have to accept that whatever move you make it’s the move you’re suppose to make at that time.  Plays change all the time, just because you make a move doesn’t mean it’s your last.
