I saw this quote posted on a friends Facebook page, “preparation makes the difference in any outcome” and it caught my attention right away.  If I’m honest with myself I can admit that when I’m prepared, I can kill anything!  A class, presentation, work-out, eating healthy, etc.  When I’m not, I may get by..but deep down I lack a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment.  I can tell without any admissions of guilt and through performances when my students have not prepared.  As a casting director, the same holds true.  You can tell the difference in an actors performance that’s been thrown together and one that’s been thought out, researched and prepared.  The feeling you get from being prepared is invaluable.  Don’t cheat yourself, you deserve better!
